Derby has always been at the heart of innovation and we are now lucky enough to be the first city in the UK to get our hands on a new Android app.
Vyby is a mobile ‘what’s on guide’ to Derby and is launching on Saturday 15 September!
The free app lets people know what’s happening in the city that day and will give you real time information. Users are able to score what is listed, so if the vibe of an event is brilliant you can let everyone know by rating it 5 out of 5. If it’s dead as a doornail score it 1 out of 5. That way you can see in an instant where the place to be is.
Not only will you be able to see where the best events are in the city the app will also give users access to exclusive special offers and deals. You don’t have to prepay for these offers, like certain voucher websites, simply turn up and show the venue your app.
Hatch’d was offered a sneak preview of Vyby and we were really impressed with its state of the art functions one particularly helpful is that it will navigate you directly to the offer.
It will also show you the venues that are nearest to you, particularly great if you are feeling a little bit lazy but fancy a beer with your friends.
Cleverly the app will only show you offers that are most appropriate to you. As you register (which literally takes seconds) you insert how old you are and whether you are male or female, with this information Vyby will select the events that it thinks you will be interested in.
Vyby told Hatch’d: “We are really excited for the launch and have had huge interest from businesses in the city. If readers of Hatch’d don’t have an Android phone don’t worry, we are looking at creating an iPhone version and in the meantime we have optimised our website for mobiles which also lists everything that’s happening in Derby”.
