About

Hatch’d Magazine is a non-profit online magazine & network, celebrating and promoting the creative arts and artists operating throughout Derbyshire. The magazine & events are run voluntarily by a young and enthusiastic team, including photographers, artists, illustrators, film makers and writers, in their own spare time.

Hatch'd Magazine's founder, Holly Booth and a team of contributors (Pete Salter, Sharon Stevens-Cash, Sam Eynon, Chris Seddon and Debbie Longridge) originally ran Creative Boom Derby between April 2010 and November 2010. However, when Creative Boom replaced the hubs for individual cities with regional hubs, the team unanimously decided that it would be much more beneficial to Derbyshire and its creatives to retain our own network and news site rather than join one that existed for the entire Midlands, and consequently, Hatch'd Magazine was born.

As a team, we are passionate about the local creative arts and industries and championing them as often as we possibly can. We are all creatives ourselves and realise how important the support we can gather and share with our peers can be. We don't make any money out of what we do - we do it purely for the love of doing it!
