Derbyshire artists are invited to submit work to be displayed in a 6-week exhibition at Derby Museum and Art Gallery.
The Derby City Open is an annual exhibition which aims to showcase the diverse range of works representing Derbyshire’s artistic community. Submissions are accepted in the form of painting, drawing, design, craft, sculpture, print and photography.
Submitted works will be judged and selected by photographer Brian Griffin, curator Anna Douglas and artist, writer and curator Lesley Guy. As well as having work displayed in an exhibition which will run from December 1st 2012 to January 13th 2013, the selected artists are also in with a chance of winning a range of awards with a top prize of £1,500.
Artists can submit up to 3 works, paying an entry fee of £6.00 per work, and have until November 11th to enter. More information, including a downloadable application form, can be found here.
